A Simple Guide to Wine & Cheese Pairings for Your Next Charcuterie Board

One of my favorite parts of building a charcuterie board is choosing wines that complement each cheese. You don't need to be a sommelier to create delicious pairings; just a few thoughtful combinations can elevate your gathering and make hosting feel a little more special. Whether you're planning a cozy night in or entertaining guests, these classic pairings are a great place to start.

Wine & Cheese Pairings

Here are a few of my favorite combinations to include on a charcuterie board:

  • Brie + Brut Champagne or Blanc de Blancs

  • Manchego + Malbec

  • Gouda + Riesling

  • Aged Cheddar + Cabernet Sauvignon

  • Goat Cheese + Sauvignon Blanc

  • Parmigiano Reggiano + Chianti

  • Gruyère + Pinot Noir

These pairings are meant to be a starting point, so don't be afraid to experiment and discover your own favorites. The best charcuterie boards are the ones that reflect your personal taste and invite people to gather around the table.
